he Bright Lights to Akihabara Tokyo, Japan This is looking down towards Akihabara, Tokyo Japan, from Kabukicho the red light district. This was taken at around 10pm at night and you can see how alive the city still is. Akihabara is well known for its electronic stores and are everywhere in that particular area of Tokyo. I loved this particular section near Kabukicho though as there were many small neon alleyways to explore resembling that of a maze. This is one of the main arteries of Tokyo and it always seems to be flowing. - Luke Zeme

"The umbrellas of Kyoto"

The backstreet alleys of Kyoto offer an exciting insight into the traditional side of Japan, a window into the past. What stands out to me though, is that many of the religious and cultural practices aren't in the past but instead are really quite current and still being carried out on a day to day basis. So you aren't just witnessing a time from the past but a myriad of ancient to modern worlds entwined all together.

This stone path, with its traditional shops and restaurants, winds its way up the hillsides of Kyoto to the Kiyomizu-dera temple. The temple overlooks Kyoto and offers an amazing view of the entire valley.
